we have recently purchased our baby girl from elite parrots from the first initial contact right up untill the day we brought her home we have had a service from lesley that was second to none, we had weekly emails and pictures of our baby grey watching her develop from a chick into the gorgeous baby we now have, i bombarded lesley with questions and she answered them all, having our baby harness trained was an extra bonus for us, the information folder we received once we booked our baby was invaluable, having her dna sexed was all part of the exellent service we have received every step of our journey from sourcing a reputable breeder to finally bringing her home we cant thank you enough lesley for our wonderful baby girl thank you so much

Not much I can say that hasn't already been said here! Very happy with Tobi. As many have said a well adjusted, well behaved and healthy young parrot due to the loving care and attention Lesley puts into rearing her chicks. What I can't get my head around is how she can let any of them go!! Anyway the purchasing process was fluid and painless. We had to put of the first attempt due to a minor health hiccup and Lesley was very understanding and fortunately (and unsuprisingly) had a queue of prospective owners to take the first baby girl we chose. We kept in touch and Tobi hatched on Easter Sunday and 12 weeks later I brought him home. Very helpful lady who is 'in it' for the birds and not the money so a lot of care and advice was given and taken and the exchange still goes on. The biggest surprise and the most reassuring thing for me was that the first thing she said was 'well I need to know that my birds will go to the right forever home' and we talked a lot about my expectations, the pros and cons of owning a parrot and when she was satisfied I had good intentions and expectations we then went on to talk about the buying process. Great lady, wonderful responsible breeder and the beginning of beautiful relationship! (with me and Tobi - not Lesley. No, no no! I am a happily married man with kids and a mortgage. who do you think I am. Goodness me what is the world coming to... to think.... mumble mumble) Hope you check, vet and edit these Lesley ;)

Hi Lesley. We brought our African grey from you last September. Vinny is now a year old and is a joy. He loves his cuddles and out of the cage a lot. He speaks non stop now he sings the theme tune to the Great Escape and The Good the Bad and the Ugly haha. He shouts all the kids names and even tells the dogs to get in there bed. For a 1 year old parrot he's very clever. He even sneezes coughs and burps. Thank you Lesley for everything you done for us x

Hi Lesley, Well, it's been nearly 3 weeks since we bought Kizzy home now :) and she has settled in really well with us. We have a brilliant routine which suits us all ! She flys to us when we call her and shares her affections between us ! She has been out in the garden on her harness and really enjoyed the sun and fresh air. We feel so blessed that we have got such a beautiful, lovely natured, healthy, intelligent, balanced bird. This is purely down to your husbandry, your patience, love, care, time invested and a first class varied natural diet. Lesley is a natural with her birds. Our information pack is so comprehensive.......we often refer to it and call it our Kizzy bible ! It is also reassuring that Lesley is available for advice for however long it is needed. Another bonus is that we could purchase a ' starter pack ' of the different types of food until we got organised, which also gave Kizzy continuity and familiarity at a time when she was vunerable leaving Lesley and coming to her new home. We could not recommend Lesley highly enough. Her birds are her life and it is a real pleasure to meet someone so dedicated, enthusiastic, devoted and who have the birds best interest as paramount. Lesley, we can't thank you enough and will certainly keep in touch and update you with Kizzys progress.

I brought my baby Quaker Eccles home almost six months ago now. Lesley was fantastic throughout the whole process; she me gave regular updates, and was always happy to offer advice about cages, food etc. As for Eccles, he's absolutely wonderful! He is so happy, smart, social and healthy! He started talking at 4 months; loves doing tricks, having tickles and going on car rides - he just takes everything in his stride, and is great with meeting new people and entering new environments. I highly recommend Lesley to anyone who is looking for a content and well-adjusted parrot to add to their family!

Just thought I would let you know that Biggles is doing fantastic, and is a huge character in our house!

We bought him from you 1st August 2013 (He was hatched 04/05/2013).

He has so many phrases I have lost count, he dances, sings, whistles, says phrases, calls the dog and tells him what to do :) He's brilliant, so thank you again for letting me bring one of your babies home! He's currently telling me that his name is bond, james bond..then he says, I love you shelly!! ahh.

Lesley was incredibly helpful when we contacted her regarding the baby parrots, we arranged to go and meet Lesley and the babies straight away. We had a choice of two babies and Archie chose us! Lesley kept us updated on Archie's progress for the next seven weeks and also sent regular photos. We were given a care booklet which has been so helpful. When we got Archie home he settled in immediately and loves meeting new people, he's very vocal and very cheeky already. We've only had him home for two weeks but he is already part of the family and even has dinner with us at the table most nights. We couldn't have asked for a more affectionate friendly parrot.

Thank you so much for our little Archie. Sasha

Contacted Lesley October 2014 and cannot praise Lesley enough for her professional help i.e. photos of Rio etc and progress and development of him. Picked up Rio January 2015 and he has become centre of attention in our family.Within two days he was coming out of his cage and loving his cuddles into me. Everyday there is something new and look forward to my days with my lovely baby. Cannot recommend Lesley high enough and thank her genuinely for all her help, advice before and after getting Rio, and would definitely recommend her to anybody considering getting a parrot.

Thank you Lesley, for our lovely little boy. We Picked him up on the 1st November 2014. And he has been a joy to have around. He loves being out and playing on his play stand or in his little draw with all his toys. Begs for cuddles in the evening when we are watching tv and will fly over to us when he wants to settle down for the evening.

We travelled down to Lesley`s home in Portsmouth from Stockport and it took over 3hrs but when we got our parrot home it was worth the drive. Lesley is top class, she explained everything to us and we bought books and read the websites she recommended to us,she gave us a folder explaining everything and I do mean everything. My son has called him BUDDY and he has become a much loved member of our family,we all love him and hope he loves being with us. I think he is spoilt but is now into a routine which he loves. He hasn't started to talk yet but I don't think it will be long. I would say to anyone thinking of getting a parrot,go to Lesley, she really does know what shes doing and we have a lovely parrot who we all adore

27th Sept 2014

I contacted Leslie to see if she had any African Grey babies available and were over joyed to be told yes. She also mentioned she had a slightly older baby still with her as some one had let her down. After discussing the age difference with the family we decided to go and meet this beautiful girl on 17th July 2014. Obviously we fell in love instantly and bought her home there and then. We were all prepared cage and toys already set up and Leslie provided a starter pack of food. She is now called Izzy and because she had been with Leslie a little longer had really bonded with her, I was warned she may take to me more than the men in the household first of all. Leslie was totally right she has become a real mummies girl and snuggles with me on the sofa every night. She is caged for some of the day when I am at work but as soon as I come in she is out of her cage and has free reign. She is an absolute honey very mischievous always into things she shouldn't be and full of character, she has started to talk she already said Hello when we got her and now says tiggle tiggle and wiggle wiggle. Although she prefers me she is quite happy to get tickles from my partner and son but the snuggles are purely mine. She is messy (throwing out the bits of food she don't like) and noisy (practicing all her whistles and hoots and trying to talk) I spend my day cleaning up after her, while she watches me getting ready to start all over again, its such a good game watching mummy. I cant recommend Leslie as a breeder highly enough she has hand reared a beautiful girl who has quickly become the center of attention in our household. Leslie is happy to give care tips and advice on your new babies, she is a dedicated and caring breeder and it shows with this amazing girl. Thank you again. We couldn't be happier with our mischievous girl.

In June of this year I was privileged to become the new Mummy of Oscar, an African Grey chick with a difference- he had a disability which left him with a missing left foot and a right foot with stunted toes. I met him by chance when my Mum went to chose her chick from Lesley, and Oscar was placed in my lap. I was completely besotted with him, and we bonded immediately. Lesley was so caring with Oscar, and gave him exactly the same opportunities as the fully formed chicks. He was still socialised with the other chicks, harness trained and handled the same. I always felt she had Oscar's best interests, and I collected him only when Lesley was 110% certain he was ready. Since the moment I bought him home he's been a joy. He has developed into a complete gentleman. He is incredibly intelligent, beginning to talk at just 4 months old, extremely laid back and sociable with all people, exceptionally determined, over coming his disabilities with such heartwarming persistence, and is a very kind natured, inquisitive and well balanced little boy. I honestly feel that the obvious love and time Lesley put into carefully raising Oscar has contributed to the wonderful parrot he has grown up to be. I would really recommend Lesley as a breeder if anyone is considering buying a baby parrot. She was a fountain of knowledge and very informative. Lesley allowed me to visit Oscar semi regularly as he developed, and I honestly felt that Lesley loved each and every chick and had their best interests as a top priority. Oscar is a credit to her. I can't imagine my life without him.

MAX!
We collected Max three weeks ago from Lesley, while he was growing we were sent weekly updates and photos so we could see how he developed and grew which was fantastic. He quickly settled into the family, and is bright, intelligent and very loving - we have cuddles and kisses every night before bedtime and several times during the day as and when he feels the need! He is starting to talk and already blows kisses and says Hello. Max plays with all his toys and is curious about everything, plays on his parrot stands and just loves to be around us. Lesley is a wonderful hand rearer of these birds and its obvious that she knows them inside out and loves each one. Max has had a wonderful start to his life with Lesley and we cannot thank her enough. I also cannot recommend Lesley enough - if you want a bird that loves you, cuddles you, is playful and curious - Lesley is the breeder for you! I would also recommend the starter pack of seeds with the various soak, cook and sprouting seeds to make the transition easier for your bird as he has the same food he is used to which Lesley can provide when you collect your bird. Lesley is always available for questions, and I am sure I am sending her far too many photos too LOL! I will put some photos up of Max on the internet, and post the link so you can see what an amazing bird he is! We love him so much, and he loves us back which is incredible, he is a credit to the hard work and dedication that Lesley puts into each and every bird.

Bonnie

This is just a quick update on our African Grey parrot that was hand reared by Lesley. We took her to her new home at the end of January and she settled so well. She is only 7 months old and she mimics the phone, wolf whistles and is now starting to talk. She can say "Hello Bonnie". We all love her to bits. Lesley is such a good breeder and I would recommend her to anyone wanting an African Grey. Thank you so much Lesley.

Just a catch up... Willow is absolutely amazing! Everyone cant believe how much she talks! She has company 24/7 so it's hardly surprising .... She has her own fan club on Facebook, so much so Iv made her her own page! It's under Willow if you want to look! Lots of her videos on there.... Or look me up on Facebook Tracie Caldecourt... Then find Willow on my list! She sings, amongst TONNES of stuff, "I'd rather have a bowl of Coco Pops". I have actually emailed Kelloggs They have passed it to their Market depart! Ha ha ... She sings Baa Baa Black Sheep when she wants to go to sleep, she has over 300 words, sentences, songs etc now! You would be well proud of her.... And she is only 19 months old.... She gives us all hours and hours of entertainment,,,,, tells the dogs to get down when they jump on the sofa, tells them to go wee in garden! Says , can I come out Perleeeeze .... O Dear! Sorry Willow... O goodness I could go on and on.... She is soo much my life and could NEVER imagine it without her....I'm sure people must get fed up with me talking about her... I can't thank you enough for letting me become her mum ..... : )

My wife & I have spent many months looking for a reputable breeder of African Greys in the South East, that was until I found Lesley, What a wonderful lady she is, we are now 1st time owners of a gorgeous, now 14 week old African Grey called Basil. On visting Lesley to enquire about owning one we found that her dedication, expertise & knowledge is second to none, if not outstanding. Lesley explained all that we needed & wanted to know about owning an AG, even meeting & holding various ages of AG (baby to adults). It was there & then that we decided to choose Basil of only 4 weeks old. Lesley kept us up to date with weekly photos & information on how Basil was doing & just watching him change from week to week was amazing. Lesley is always on the end of the phone if needed. Thank you Lesley for introducing us to the world of the African grey. Darren & Julie

If your looking to purchase a first class African Grey, then look no further. Lesley could not have been more helpful from initial contact to purchase. We visited several times to view our baby, and not once was it an issue. The knowledge Lesley has is remarkable, and she spends the time explaining everything to you, and to follow up gives you a binder with everything explained, but she is always there on the end of the phone for those silly questions. I would thoroughly recommend Lesley and her Parrots.

You will have to go a long way in this world to find a more dedicated, knowledgeable and excellent breeder of parrots than Lesley.
The care and compassion that she has for her birds is apparent from the moment you see her with them, but the REAL picture comes when you bring your young bird home. You can literally feel the weeks of love, caring, guidance and gentleness that she has offered emulate from your new pet to his or her new family.
Lesley is always willing to offer advice and reassurance on the phone and I would wholeheartedly recommend her as a breeder of these complex, intelligent and beautiful creatures. You won't be disappointed.

I have no hesitation in recommending Lesley to anyone looking for a kind and caring breeder. i am the proud mum to Maximus (Max), now 19mths old, he is such a wonderful and entertaining chap and i would be lost without him. I was only able to visit once as i live 3 hours away, but was sent updates and pictures regularly. Lesley reassured my concern for travelling a baby grey such a long way, and she was able to get Max used to his travel cage before the big day. He was therefore settled and adjusted with it so the journey home was not a problem, he infact slept or ate for most of the time:)

I believe this is because the babies are well adjusted, balanced and socialised from the start. And Lesley has their best interests at heart and loves them all.

I bought my adorable babies, Mojo and Shinda, from Lesley in 2008. They are an absolute delight, extremely well-adjusted and have been right from the start. I was able to visit them regularly and fire numerous questions at Lesley each and every time!

I always recommend Lesley to people looking for a conscientious breeder who keeps her birds in nice aviaries. Here are a few (thousand!) photos of my beautiful, friendly birds!

Having had a not-so-great experience with the breeder of my first African Grey, it was after much research that I decided to purchase my second bird from Lesley. I definitely made the right choice - Lesley is a wonderful lady, and her love for birds shows in each one of her babies. Lesley sent pictures and updates of Chip as he grew up. It was remarkable to see how much they change in a week! Finally, the time came for me to bring him home. Chip is everything anyone could want in a parrot - well socialised, playful, energetic, and a great eater! I would not hesitate to recommend Lesley to anyone interested in buying a parrot. Lesley: Thanks again for such an awesome addition to the family :)

My baby parrot Bell came home to live with us and has been an amazing little edition to my family. I have received lots of support and advice from Lesley, I got the chance to visit Bell many times and I took my little girl with me to meet our new family member, Lesley was so king and generous to us both and encouraged my little girl to hold and love Bell, I loved the one on one support and the caring nature from Lesley with the baby greys and through her support and kindness I have been able to build confidence with my first parrot. She is adorable and has come from such a loving atmosphere straight into another one, Thank you so much Lesley for making the experience of buying my baby girl so special and unique. Bell is wonderful and the guidance has been outstanding and brilliant. Thank you Lesley.

My Daughter and I are prospective CAG owners. We visited Lesley at her home yesterday and spent a wonderfully informative three hours with her, her family and her birds. We want to be as knowledgeable as possible before bringing our baby home and Lesley was able to answer all the questions we fired at her and trust me, there were many, many questions! We are really looking forward to visiting again and choosing our baby, spending time with him/her as he/she grows and then, ultimately, bringing our baby home towards the end of Summer! Thank you Lesley! You are a genuinely helpful, caring lady who quite obviously loves her birds!

We have had Sweetpea, our Pionus, since early Sept. She is an amazing character - confident, happy, well-adjusted and a bundle of energy. Lesley is an expert on parrots and a genuine, caring person who gives endless love and time to the babies in her care. Photos, updates and advice were all in abundance and much appreciated. We feel very fortunate to have found Lesley and would not hesitate in recommending her to anyone looking to include a parrot as a member of their family. Thank you Lesley - she is a wonderful companion. Her latest escapade - flying across the room with a Christmas card. Who needs Harry Potter? :)
